Bunny Cakes

Today we made our bunny cakes for Easter.  The girls each made a cake and they did such a great job!!  We took Macey's next door to our neighbors and took Riley's to CC's to share with them. They asked me if we could make these every year until they are grown up. Of course we can!!

OKC Here We Come!!

This was our first visit to Oklahoma City in several months.  We were so excited to see everyone and we had the week packed full of parties and fun!!  Some of our plans got changed along the way due to sick kiddos but for the most part everything was just perfect!!

This is our favorite dinner spot to celebrate our birthday's~ The Cheesecake Factory.  We always try to go for each of our birthdays but since I moved we missed a couple and decided to celebrate them all.  We had so much fun talking and of course laughing!!  We laughed so much that we were hurting after!!

Another party that just happened to be that weekend was Sean Carr's Bday party. It was a skating party.  My girls had never been skating before but they had so much fun!!  Thanks Carr Family

We were so excited to be able to be at Tina's Baby Shower!!  Tina started out as my hairdresser and is now one of my best friends!!  Tina is one of the sweetest people I have ever met and I am so excited about what God is doing in her life!!  Also I can't wait to meet baby Bryson!!

We stayed the week with our wonderful friends the May's.  We were so excited to get to spend this time with them and the girls were especially excited to get to spend that time with Baby Maggie!!  We had so much fun with you guys and thank you so much for everything!!  We love you!!

We had such a great week with all of our friends!!  God has truly blessed us!! We know we are in Amarillo for a reason and that God has a plan for us here.  I am not always happy to be here but I know that God is in control and His plan is best.  We have so many great friends and we miss you all everyday!!  Thanks for loving us and making this trip such a great one!!!

Trick or Treat '09

In past years, Halloween has been a whole week of fun.  This year was a little different for us but we still had a fun day!!  That morning we went to Michaels for Halloween crafts and a little candy.  In the evening went to a church for games, trunk-or-treat and a hayride.

Well Macey is Hannah Montana in these pictures but that is not what she was supposed to be.  She had another costume that she wore that morning to Michaels.  She broke that one and we have no pictures of it.  She was supposed to be Pumpkin Spice.  It was cute orange dress with a pumpkin wig.  Luckily she has several dress up outfits in her closet.

Riley was originally going to be a cowgirl and we even bought that outfit.  We went on a hunt for pink cowboy boots which we never found.  She did not want to wear any other color but pink!!  We went to Walmart and she found the red sparkly shoes and just had to get them.  So she decided to be Dorothy to get those shoes.

We had lots of costume drama but everything turned out great and they had a great time!!

Botanical Gardens

This week we visited the Amarillo Botanical Gardens. It was pretty cold out but we had so much fun!! We really miss all the outings with our OKC friends so it felt good to get out and find a fun place for us to visit here in Amarillo.

New Member of Our Family

We have a new member of our family. This is Zoe and she is such a sweet cat!! We went walking a couple weeks ago and she followed us home. We went all over the neighborhood knocking on doors to find her home. Everyone we spoke to said that she is one of many stray cats in the neighborhood. She was such a sweet cat we couldn't just turn her out. We were thinking of getting a cat soon so it was a perfect fit. The girls just love her and she is gentle but also very playful!! We just love her!!

"I've Never Been 5 In My Whole Life"!! ~Riley

Riley finally turned 5!! It seemed like it would take forever to get to her birthday. I think this was because we had her first party in July. We had to have a celebration with all of our friends in OKC before we moved. This was her actual birthday.

Riley does not like to be put on the spot!! When she was opening presents she would not turn around for everyone to see. It was so funny!!

She wanted a Tinkerbell dress so much and she was very excited when she got it from CC!!

On her birthday, Riley got lots of money. After her party I told her that I would keep the money in my purse to keep it safe. She did not like that idea!! I just thought it would be better that I keep it until we decided what to do with it. Riley had a fit!! She was crying and kept saying "my parents won't even let me keep my own birthday money". It was so funny!!

We also celebrated that weekend with Mimi, Papa, Caca and Ryan coming to Amarillo. When they all got here they brought her more money. They gave it to her in all $5 bills. She said that she was rich!! I didn't dare try to keep her money this time!!

Riley is such a sweet and loving little girl. She is so giving and always wants to share what she has!! I am so proud to have her as my daughter!! It is such a joy to spend each day with her!!
